Tears flowed and tempers flared at chief minister Nitish Kumar’s janata durbar on Monday. Altogether 1,007 people, including 218 women, arrived from different parts of the state to narrate their problems to Nitish. The chief minister listened to them patiently from morning to late evening and directed them to the officials concerned for redress. This was Nitish’s first janata durbar in the Grand Alliance government. The last one was held on August 17, well ahead of the Assembly polls last year.
