Patna, Nov. 28: Parents are gearing up for the big challenge of getting their children admitted to the best schools of the city. Most of the institutes are about to begin the admission procedure for the montessori section. A few have started the process.
Most of the city schools will first carry out the registration process and a few days later, candidates will have to take the written test.
After the test results are declared, an interview will be conducted. However, a few schools are not conducting any test. Such schools have fixed number of seats and would not conduct any interview as well.
Notre Dame Academy would conduct the registration process in the last week of January.
There are 160 seats for montessori I. Mount Carmel High School will be issuing registration forms on December 10. Parents and guardians will be required to fill and submit the forms on the same day. The school has 100 seats. St Michael’s High School, on the other hand, has classes from Standard I for which forms will be sold in the last week of January. Mary Ward has already started the admission process.
Loyola High School principal, Brother Felix, informed that the school would be selling the registration forms after January 15, 2011.
He said: “We’ll give time to the guardians to submit the registration forms. They don’t have to rush to submit the forms that day itself. It becomes difficult to arrange everything on the day of registration. Also the rush will be less.” Mary Alphonsa, principal of Don Bosco Academy, said: “Registrations for lower kindergarten (LKG) would start after the first week of January 2011.”
The school has 250 seats for this class. On the other hand, principal of DAV BSEB Ramanuj Prasad, said: “Registration forms for LKG will be sold from January 1 to 15 next year. There are 80 seats and no tests will be conducted for the same. It will be a direct admission process.”
