Patna, April 17: Junior B was in town. And boy! It was it felt.

Abhishek Bachchan was in the town for the promotion of his latest film Dum Maaro Dum with seven “bouncers”. Abhishek, who plays ACP Vishnu Kamath in the film, entered the hall of Hotel Maurya, accompanied by director Rohan Sippy and co-star Rana Daggubatti.

This was Abhishek’s first visit to the state capital.

The film, before its release, has landed in controversy because of portraying Goa as the hub of drug, sex and rave parties. The Goa bench of Bombay High Court is hearing a case filed in this connection.

Abhishek said: “As the matter is in court, I don’t want to speak anything about it. But the whole packaging of the film is good and Goa is not shown in a bad light. We have also not hurt the feeling of Goans.”

Asked about why the people of Bihar would watch a film based on Goa, Abhishek said: “People will always come to watch a film if its content and packaging is good. I know IPL matches are on but if the film’s script is strong, the audience will come to watch it.”

Dum Maaro Dum will hit theatres on April 22.

On the changes in the state, Abhishek said: “Today, people around the world are talking about Bihar. The state is growing very fast. A lot of confidence has come into the people. The government is doing a fantastic job.”

On what he likes most about Bihar, pat came the reply, litti-chokha — the state’s favourite dish. “It’s the most amazing dish I have ever tried,” Abhishek said.

Abhishek’s father, Amitabh Bachchan, has worked in a Bhojpuri film. So will the son follow suit?

Abhishek said: “If I am given the opportunity, I would love to act in a Bhojpuri film.”
