Patna, Jan. 25: The process of enrolment for National Population Register (NPR), which incorporates registration for Aadhaar number in Bihar, is set to be expedited here.

The directorate of census operations, Bihar, would soon set up more camps to collect biometric details of residents under NPR in all wards of municipal areas and other blocks in the district.

“Camps for collection of biometric details from residents are already being organised in the New Capital circle and we have sent requests to the Patna Municipal Corporation to set up similar camps in the remaining three circles (Kankerbagh, Bankipore and Patna City),” said S.K. Chakrabarti, deputy director-general, NPR, office of the Registrar General of India.
