Summer holiday
Kangana Ranaut is off on a solitary holiday, à la her character in Queen, who went on her own honeymoon after her fiancé jilted her. So there is a ceasefire between Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan, who were battling in public for several days in the aftermath of a so-called relationship that had gone sour. And now that Roshan doesn't have to battle Ranaut, he has time on his hand. For one, he is tweeting about his new epic film Mohenjo Daro, to be released in August. And two, he is attending an awards show in Madrid, accompanied by his son. He even posted a picture of himself shopping with his sons in the Spanish capital. Let's just hope Ranaut's holiday is in some other part of the world.
Crook look
Guys try to look pretty - but poor Satyajeet Dubey has to look like a thug. In his latest film Kerry on Kutton, the Bilaspur boy plays a small-time criminal. Known for his chocolate-box looks, the 25-year-old actor had to work as much on his lines as his looks. But he is also known to be a hard worker. Dubey, who debuted with Always Kabhi Kabhi in 2011, appeared for almost 127 auditions over eight months before he could get a modelling contract. Then, of course, roles in films and television followed. Now, with the new film, Dubey dons a new look. Thugs, look out.
Film fun
While Shah Rukh Khan's fans may call a cab to watch the first day, first show of his film, Rajinikanth's fans take a plane to catch his movie. Budget airline Air Asia has announced a special flight that will fly fans of the Thalaivar from Bangalore to Chennai to watch the premier of his upcoming film Kabali on July 15. The special package includes the flight ticket, a movie ticket, an audio CD, Kabali merchandise, breakfast, lunch and snacks. What next? Cabin crew dressed like Rajini?
Hunk high
Fawad Khan's fans in India may please take their hankies out. The drool-worthy Pakistani actor is going to appear in a series of Bollywood films next year. Khan is apparently going to do a romantic film for actor Salman Khan. The TV star, who made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Khoobsurat, co-starring Sonam Kapoor, is also being considered for Zoya Akhtar's next film. And, of course, he will be seen in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. On second thoughts, perhaps fans of the handsome hunk need to keep two hankies ready. It's drool time, folks!
Third-time lucky
There is something about Leena Yadav. She directed two films that bombed - the Aishwarya Rai-starrer Shabd and Teen Patti featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. But now her third film - Parched - is being talked about. The film opens at the London film festival next month and had a commercial release in the US earlier this month. The film revolves around the lives of three women in Gujarat - one played by none other than the actor-to-watch-out-for, Radhika Apte (in pic ) - and has been picking up rave reviews. Yadav attributes the success to the fact that she doggedly stuck to her original idea and did not compromise. She is hoping to get the film released in India but Parched has nude scenes and cuss words. Poor Pahlaj. Will he never have a quiet week?
