Fusion rhythms
When not performing with his fusion ensemble or creating path-breaking sounds, Bickram Ghosh is experimenting, innovating and composing music for musicals, background scores and much more. His music reflects influences as wide in scope as Indian classical, Carnatic, Western classical, jazz and folk. In town for 10 days, internationally renowned jazz group Mezcal has collaborated with Ghosh to produce an album, ONE. Recorded by SaReGaMa, it will be released this evening, along with a live performance by the artistes and ghatam wizard V Suresh. Hosted by The Park, SaReGaMa, Standard Chartered Priority Banking, Open Doors and Spedidam.
