In its 18th edition, the Royal Bengal Corporate Quiz organised by CART 12 chapter of Round Table India, in association with The Telegraph, is being held to ensure a better quality of life for the country’s underprivileged children. Proceeds from it will go towards construction of schools to make education a reality for them. Quizmaster: Derek O’Brien.

March 3 at Akar Prakar, P238 Hindusthan Park; 6.30pm: Akar Prakar hosts a music baithak in fond memory of Maitreyee Chatterji, Sarbari Roy Choudhury and Suman Roy. Featuring Hindustani classical vocal recital by Saptarshi Chakraborty (Mewati Gharana). March 4 at Uttam Mancha; 11am - 9pm: Dhwani Academy of Percussion Music and Diksha Manjari present Behala Ucchanga Sangeet Sammelan 2012, dedicated to the memory of legendary Indian percussionist Pandit Gnan Prakash Ghosh. Participants: Ronu Mjaumdar (flute), Bhavani Shankar & Abhijit Banerjee (jugalbandi), Tejendra Narayan Majumdar (sarod), Ulhas Kasalkar (vocals) and Dona Ganguly and her troupe (dance recital).
