A railway museum modelled on the famous Madan Mohan temple was inaugurated by Northeast Frontier Railway general manager HK Jaggi in Cooch Behar on Tuesday.

The museum has equipment from the past and black-and-white images of the Unesco world heritage property, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Photographs of old stations capture the mood of the days gone by.

There is also a collection of books on the history of the Indian Railways and engineering manuals of the old track laying. Picture by Main Uddin Chisti
