Singur: A teenager died and another suffered serious injuries when the two-wheeler they were riding rammed into a lorry near Singur on the Durgapur Expressway on Sunday.

A police officer said that the accident took place near Sanapara. Both the two-wheeler and the lorry were headed towards Calcutta.

"It seems that the two-wheeler was speeding. It went on to crash into the lorry that was travelling in the same direction," the officer said.

The two riders - Aniket Biswas, 18, and Subham Majumder, 19 - had been flung off the two-wheeler on impact.

Police had taken the teens to Singur Rural Hospital.
