The State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) on Wednesday directed the state government for the second time to obey the Calcutta High Court directive to pay dearness allowance (DA) to its employees on a par with central government employees.

The SAT bench comprising Justice R.K. Bag and administrative member Subesh Das said the state government should implement the court’s directive by December 16, 2020.

Two state government employees’ unions have been agitating for parity in DA for the past four years.
