Aug. 7: Five schoolchildren were injured this afternoon when their school bus rammed into another bus at Kamakhya Gate area in Guwahati in Assam.

The injured children were rushed to a private nursing home nearby. The doctors declared that all the injured were out of danger.

All the injured children were students of Kids World English School, which is located at Gotanagar. The accident occurred around 2 pm, when the children were returning home from school.

Two schoolteachers, identified as Nandita Choudhury and Bhaskar Majumdar, and a babysitter, Mitali Majumdar, were also injured in the accident.

Police have registered a case at Jalukbari police station. The driver of the school bus, Sankar Jogi, has been arrested.
