The animal world came alive on stage at the Calcutta Boys' School junior concert as students of Nursery to Class IV presented Noah's Ark.

Kids dressed as bears, elephants, monkeys, peacocks and other animals danced to the background music and frolicked around.

"It is a popular Biblical story. When I directed the play, I also kept in mind the environmental aspect. Each and every class has been assigned a separate animal dance, through which they have also highlighted the necessity of conserving trees and forests, as they are the dwelling places of animals. I am really happy to see the children so happy and excited about playing their roles," said Guy Kenneth Dantes, English teacher.

The principal was all smiles as he watched the little ones perform. "The junior concert is all about showcasing the talent of children and I am pleased to see the gathering of parents and family to encourage the students. This concert also drives away stage fright and the fear of speaking in public," said, Raja McGee, principal and secretary.

"We practised hard for about a month," said Kairav Desai, a Class IV student who played Noah. Classmate Arghya Basu played Noah's wife.
