Jishu Dasgupta, who directed megaserials like Dey Ray, Kuasha Jokhon, Tithir Atithi and Shishirer Shabdo, died at Peerless Hospital on Friday morning. He was suffering from cancer. He is survived by wife Durga and son Samrat.

“Jishuda was full of life and would spread happiness wherever he went. I hope he is still doing the same,” said actress Gargi Roy Chowdhury.
