The possibility of resumption of suburban railway services has prompted Metro Railway to consider increasing the number of daily trains.

The carrier runs 152 trains from Monday to Saturday. The daily passenger count is inching towards the 100,000 mark. But once local trains resume, the terminal stations like Dum Dum and New Garia will bear the load of many more passengers.

The man survived.

Trains ran between Noapara and Central in the north and Maidan and New Garia in the south till normality resumed at 12.59pm, an official said.
