Bengal reports 284 Covid cases, 259 recoveries, two deaths

The state's positive recovery rate was 98.83% and mortality rate 1.02% on Thursday when 7,018 samples were tested

Bengal on Thursday reported 284 Covid-19 infections, 259 recoveries and two deaths.

The state has now 3,193 active patients. There are 3,099 patients in home isolation and 94 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.

The state's positive recovery rate was 98.83% and mortality rate 1.02% on Thursday when 7,018 samples were tested. The case positivity rate stood at 4.05%. Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has recorded 21,14,259 cases, of which 20,89,561 have made full recoveries. 21,505 fatalities have been recorded in the state so far. Total precaution doses administered stood at 1,50,76,444 whereas precaution doses administered on Thursday stood at 33,380.
