
Oct. 4: The government will run more than 600 special buses for the U-17 World Cup matches at Salt Lake stadium.
The transport department will offer special permits to Ola to run 130 shuttle buses. Passengers picked up from across the city will be dropped close to the stadium.
Apart from Ola, the government will also run shuttle services. The buses can be tracked through the government's Pathadisha app.
A central control room will be set up at the transport department's office adjoining the stadium where officials will monitor government buses as well as Ola shuttle buses.

Fifa shuttle
That's the name of the government bus service for the Fifa U-17 World Cup.
Hundred AC buses will ferry people to the stadium from Ultadanga and Milan Mela, each of which will act as a transport hub for the entire World Cup period.
Between Ultadanga and the stadium, 10 buses will ply on match days at an interval of five minutes.
Thirty buses will ply between Karunamoyee and GD Island and 60 between Ultadanga and Milan Mela at an interval of two minutes.
Fifa special
Two-hundred AC buses will ferry people from across the city, including Barasat, Dunlop, Joka, Thakurpukur, Parnasree, Garia, Howrah station, Santragachhi, to Ultadanga, Milan Mela and Karunamoyee.
These buses will ply at an interval of 5-10 minutes.
Ola shuttle
The app cab aggregator will run 24-seater buses on 12 routes covering Joka, Tollygunge, Esplanade, Ballygunge, Bagbazar, Bally, Dunlop, Airport, Barrackpore and Howrah.
The routes have been chalked out keeping in mind key areas, including Rashbehari connector, EM Bypass, MG Road, Maniktala, Nivedita Setu and Shyambazar.
Passengers will be dropped at the Sports Authority of India complex opposite AMRI Salt Lake, Kadapara and the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre.
Students
The government will provide 48 buses to the school education department and 32 to the higher education department for use of school and college students.
The buses will ferry students to the stadium area from various pick-up points like Howrah and Sealdah stations, and Bankura, Purulia and Kharagpur bus termini.
Districts
Hundred buses will ferry football buffs from the districts to the transport hubs in Milan Mela and Ultadanga.
