End of 128GB storage

Every model in Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 17 lineup features a base 256GB storage capacity, up from the lowest 128GB option in the iPhone 16 series. The regular iPhone 17 comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options and the skinny iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 Pro come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities. In case you choose iPhone 17 Pro Max, there is even an addition of a maximum 2TB option.

eSIM is here to stay

For a few years, Apple has been selling eSIM-only iPhones in the US. The new iPhone Air is eSIM only globally. eSIM is a far safer option than physical SIM cards, especially when a phone gets stolen. Further, the space saved will enable a larger battery.

Why rotate phone?

A major update comes in the form of the front-facing camera. All iPhone 17 models, including the Pro models, have a square-sensor “Centre Stage” 18MP selfie camera, up from 12MP.
The square front camera sensor will change the way you take selfies. Instead of turning the phone horizontally for wide group shots, you simply tap a setting to expand the field of view and orientation. It is easier to grip a phone vertically when taking a selfie, even if it is a horizontal shot you are aiming for.
