The makers have decided to expand the Bohurupi universe with a more ambitious and layered sequel. At present, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku is in the scripting stage.

Speaking about the announcement, the director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee shared, “Completing 25 years makes this moment incredibly special for Windows. Bohurupi has been our biggest franchise, and its return is entirely driven by audience demand. We are currently shaping the script and are excited to explore this world further with a bigger vision and deeper storytelling.”

Tonic 2

Dev’s Tonic 2 is set to hit the big screen in 2026, marking the much-anticipated sequel to the hugely popular film Tonic. Reuniting audiences with the warmth and emotional resonance that made the original a standout, the upcoming release continues Dev’s streak of heartwarming cinema. With expectations running high, Tonic 2 is poised to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Bike Ambulance Dada

Bike Ambulance Dada marks a milestone as Dev’s 50th film, drawing inspiration from the extraordinary real-life journey of Padma Shri awardee Karimul Hak. The film pays a heartfelt tribute to the humble social worker who transformed his motorcycle into a lifesaving ambulance for people in remote and underserved areas, where timely medical help was often out of reach. Through a powerful blend of emotion, resilience, and humanity, the story captures how one man’s compassion and determination sparked a movement of hope, proving that true heroism lies in selfless service.

Emperor vs Sarat Chandra

Emperor vs Sarat Chandra is an ambitious period drama from filmmaker Srijit Mukherji. The film depicts the fierce clash between oppressive imperial power and the force of the written word, exploring how literature became a potent tool of resistance during India’s freedom struggle. Emperor vs Sarat Chandra, starring Tota Roy Choudhury, Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty, will arrive in the centenary year of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Pather Dabi — first published on August 31, 1926. The film delves into the political and cultural turbulence surrounding the novel’s release and its legacy of dissent.

Boiragi

After the sumptuous success of Ranna Baati, director Pratim D. Gupta and producer Pradip Kumar Nandy reunite for their next film Boiragi. And joining them on this new journey is Jeetz Filmworks. Mayamrigaya

Mayamrigaya is a period drama set in late-colonial Bengal that explores the entwined destinies of two sisters, Sharmila and Urmimala, and the man who stands between them, Shashanka, against a backdrop of political upheaval and social transition. At once intimate and epic, it stages an “illusory ballet” of love, duty, lust, and sacrifice, observed and narrated intermittently by Rabindranath Tagore himself. “Mayamrigaya is not merely a narrative to me — it is an inquiry. The conflict Rabindranath Tagore unveiled in Dui Bon remains as piercingly relevant today as ever: can a human being seek, within the same relationship, refuge and desire, stability and restlessness — simultaneously? This film is a quest for that impossible yearning,” said director Subhrajit Mitra.

Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel

Boasting an ensemble cast, the upcoming Windows film Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel has already captured the imagination of movie lovers with its intriguing blend of comedy, romance and horror, promising a rollicking time at the theatres. Composed of a crisply edited collage of moments from the film, the teaser offers a kaleidoscopic vision of its action, which is pivoted around a group of unsuspecting guests and their shadowy hosts at the eponymous hotel. Set in the lap of the hills, the hotel becomes the stage where its spooky action gets played out. Characters played by Mimi Chakraborty and Soham Majumdar are lawyers by profession who have come on a trip to the hills. The film also stars Bonny Sengupta and Swastika Dutta.

Korpur

Set for an early 2026 release, Arindam Sil’s Korpur is a political thriller. Starring Rituparna Sengupta, Bratya Basu and Ananya Banerjee, the film will capture two different time periods, spanning over 25 years. It will revolve around the mysterious disappearance of an educational professional in the 1990s, with the plot unfolding a bigger scam and hidden truths. Oscillating between the two time periods, the narrative will also be imbued with psychological drama.

Hok Kolorob

Raj Chakraborty’s upcoming film Hok Kolorob, based on the true incident of the tragic death of a fresher student allegedly due to ragging by his seniors at a city university hostel, hits closest to home, and is expected to arouse deep interest and spark fresh conversations about the incident, which generated great furore among the general public after it was reported. The teaser had informed viewers that the film would be a no-holds-barred narrative of the aftermath of the tragedy that shook the city, and particularly the student community, out of its stupor, albeit momentarily.

Adamya

When a political assassination goes wrong, Palash, the 23-year-old hunter, becomes the hunted. As he flees from the system, the meaning of the collective and its movement undergoes several changes. Set in the Sundarbans, Ranjan Ghosh’s Adamya, also known as The Unbroken, is a character study of the young man as we debate: Is he an extremist? Or, is he a revolutionary? Swifty comes the darkness of the night, but the spirit of the movement remains unbroken.

Nari Charitra Bejay Jatil

The upcoming comedy film Nari Choritro Bejay Jotil, starring Ankush Hazra and Oindrila Sen, promises to be an entertainer full of comic moments, side-splitting laughter and surprises galore.
