The KLIKK series Jaisalmer Jomjomat, directed by Riingo, follows a Bengali family who embark on a trip to Jaisalmer, inspired by Sonar Kella. Rajat Babu, a bank manager, is eager to explore the mysterious Mukul Baari within the golden fort. His wife, daughter, and young son are travelling with him. Their vacation takes a dark turn when a drug package goes missing, and they find themselves embroiled in turmoil and targeted by a dangerous cartel. As the family fights to survive the sinister designs, secrets unravel, and love faces its toughest challenge. The team recently got together for the premiere of the series, which stars Sabyasachi Chowdhury, Meghla Dasgupta, Abhishek Singh, Devtanu, Amrita Debnath, Debasish Nath, Shahir Raj, Moumita Paul, Rajdeep Pal and more.

“The reactions have been amazing. As we watched it, I was reliving the tough shooting schedule that we undertook, and it felt great to see how a mix of senior cast members and newcomers came together to execute a terrific project. It’s always a gift for a director to see his actors evolve and perform beyond par. Watch and experience the beauty of the desert and the glory of the Golden Fort with a thriller set in its heart,” said Riingo.

“The premiere was truly jomjomat, a full house to be precise. A tribute to Satyajit Ray, and that too in SRFTI, is quite elating. Positive reviews poured in after the show. Big screens change the vision and perspective. And Jaisalmer Jomjomat was no less,” said Sabyasachi.

“I felt proud to see the reactions of the audience watching the series on the big screen. All actors did so well, and it was an adventure we all travelled through in the desert of Rajasthan and in the golden fortress. I reminisced about the difficult schedule we had and how tough it was to complete within the tight deadlines. Full marks to team Jaisalmer Jomjomat. My job was to curate a credible team and an incredible adventure thriller. As the journey comes full circle, as a producer, I feel very proud. I’m thankful to everyone at KLIKK for always supporting innovative production mounting and the way the grand premiere was organised,” said Ohendrila Banerjee, producer, Ring A Bell Films.

“The audience reaction has been hugely encouraging. I tried my best to live up to the expectations set by our very encouraging skipper, Riingo Banerjee. It’s good to see how all the characters are so well thought out. I believe a certain benchmark in scriptwriting is attained by the fact that all the characters leave an impact towards the completion of a story. That’s what has been in this case. Hats off to the makers. There are a whole lot of favourite moments, including the build-up towards the climax,” said Shahir Raj, actor.

“The premiere was truly an exhilarating experience for me, as I watched myself on the big screen. The sheer visual thrill was giving me goosebumps. Seeing all those scenes and reminiscing about all that we did there, as a bunch of young actors, was great fun too. Everyone’s been saying the series has great visuals, and I think the overall adventure and thriller elements have turned out to be a very entertaining package. My favourite moment was when Ribhu, my on-screen brother played so brilliantly by the young Onkar Bhattacharya, sent out the distress laser signal and my character Oishi could figure it out. I would urge audiences to watch this nostalgic journey,” said Amrita Debnath, actress.
