Author Amit Chaudhuri and Friso Maecker, the director of Goethe Institut-Max Mueller Bhavan, at the launch of the website (http://cal-legacies.com.) of Calcutta Architectural Legacies (CAL), a group working for the preservation of the city's unique architectural legacies, at Jadunath Bhavan Museum and Resource Centre in Lake Terrace on Monday. CAL, which believes that the idea of preservation should be extended beyond "heritage", focuses on the restoration and re-use of old residential buildings.
