Calcutta: Shah Rukh Khan, principal owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), won’t be at the Eden on Friday, when his franchise takes on the Rahul Dravid-led Rajasthan Royals.

Shah Rukh is away in the US, specifically Connecticut, to deliver a lecture at Yale University, in his capacity as its Chubb Fellow.

Given that the lecture was on Thursday afternoon (local time), there’s no guarantee that Shah Rukh would be in the city on Sunday either, for the match against the Kings XI Punjab.

“We’re awaiting details… Shah Rukh, however, is very keen to make it in time (on Sunday),” the KKR CEO, Venky Mysore, told The Telegraph.

Unless there are very compelling reasons, Shah Rukh doesn’t miss any of the action at the Eden.
