Calcutta: Prayag United SC’s I-League match against Mumbai FC was strange, to say the least. Mumbai displayed flair, in patches notwithstanding, while United SC were scrappy and wasteful, throughout. The score at the end of the match, however, read 3-0 in favour of the city team.
At the end, Lukram James Singh’s goal in between Kayne Vincent’s brace proved enough for United SC to rise to fifth in the standings with 35 points from 21 matches.
In the 64th minute, Shylo Malswamtluanga sent in a short pass from the left for James, who chose the left corner of the net with ease.
In other matches of the day, Prayag United beat Mumbai FC 3-0, Chirag United Club went past Lajong FC 3-2, while Dempo SC outplayed HAL 3-0.
