Here’s a sneak peak of the ten teams in the CLT20:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Perhaps the strongest side in this editions CLT20, the Super Kings are also the defending champions. They are reigning IPL champions and possess players who would be any team’s envy. Led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, they are the superstars of T20s.

Cape Cobras
They are the winners of Pro 20, the South African domestic T20 tournament. Experience is their forte with the likes of Herschelle Gibbs, Justin Kemp and Charl Langeveldt in the squad. And Dale Steyn, JP Duminy and Robin Peterson to it and you’ll know why the Cobras are dangerous.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
One of the most glamorous sides of the meet, KKR are also one of the strongest teams. With Jacques Kallis in the team, they have the best all-rounder in the world. And if Gautam Gambhir gets fit to play, there will be no stopping the Yusuf Pathans and Shaib-al Hasans.

New South Wales
They qualified as the runners-up of the Big Bash 2010-11 and are one of the most consistent sides in Australian domestic cricket. They were the CLT20 champions in 2009 and with Shane Watson and David Warner in the line-up, look good to repeat that feat this time.

Mumbai Indians
They will no doubt miss the presence of the one and only Sachin Tendulkar, but the Mumbai Indians are still capable enough of destructive shows. Having qualified as the third-best IPL team, the Lasith Malingas and Keiron Pollards will be eager to be the best in CLT20.

Somerset
The English side came through the qualifiers to clinch a part in the main round of the CLT20. They are the runners-up in the English domestic T20 tournament. But the Alfonso Thomas-led team will need to pull up their socks in order to surprise a strong field.
