New Delhi: Former Olympian Mohinder Lal passed away at his Spain residence on Thursday morning, according to information received from the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF).
Lal converted a penalty stroke in the final to fetch India gold in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. He was also part of the 1960 Rome Olympics silver-winning squad.
The versatile right-half had settled in Spain after retiring from his job.
He worked as coach of Real Club de Polo, Barcelona, for several years. (PTI)
