East Bengal won their second match on the trot in the under-19 I-League as they defeated Churchill Brothers 4-3. Nabin Hela, Pankaj Moula, Abhinash Ruidas, Tanmoy Kundu scored for the home team. Adwin Lucas, Marcus Fernandes, Franky Oliveira were the scorers for the Goa-based club.
In another match, Seiminlen Doungel scored a hattrick in JCT 4-1 win over Mumbai FC.
Registration
The player transfer window for the CFL is slated from July 13 to August 13. Players are expected to register with the IFA by the end of August. The IFA Premier League committee will meet on July 11.
Mitra gave an ultimatum to all unauthorised occupants and non-sporting bodies, who have seized possession in sports complexes, to vacate immediately or face legal action.
Inspection
State sports minister Madan Mitra, CMG executive director Bhaswar Goswami and IFA secretary Utpal Ganguli went on an inspection of the Salt Lake ground on Thursday. Renovation work is undergoing at the stadium and the trio is ensuring that basic Fifa and the Asian Football Confederation guidelines are followed before the Argentina-Venezuela match.
