Mohun Bagan are yet to decide on their new coach after another marathon meeting on Tuesday. The buzz is that the officials are likely to approach Robin Dutt, who has coached Bayer Leverkusen last season. However, with his present role as the sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen, it is highly unlikely that he will accept the offer. It was also learnt that former India coach Stephen Constantine was approached for the job. But the Briton refused the offer, citing prior commitments.
Another name that is doing the rounds is Salgaocar coach Karim Bencharifa. With the Goa-club not willing to release the Moroccan, Karim was initially ruled out. But a source informed that Karim had called the club officials on Tuesday, seeking a few days time.
Laxmi Ratan Shukla scored an unbeaten 105 and Parthasarathi Bhattacharjee made 90 to help CAB A defeat the CAB Under-19 side by six wickets in the S.K. Acharya Memorial (Challenger) Trophy match at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground in Kalyani on Tuesday.
