Anit Ghosh has surgery

East Bengal captain Anit Ghosh underwent operation on his injured right knee under the supervision of Dr Anant Joshi in a city nursing home Friday. The club authorities informed that though he will be off for at least six months, he will be signed for the forthcoming season as well.

Tapan Memorial in semis

Tapan Memorial moved into the semi-finals of the CAB knock-out meet Friday beating Wari by 17 runs. Meanwhile, Taltala Institute were relegated to the second division of the CAB league, losing to City AC Thursday.

Kanti Dutta passes away

Former national diving champion Kanti Dutta passed away Sunday. Dutta (55) died after a cardiac arrest and is survived by his wife and son.

Muslim Inst. win

Muslim Institute beat Wari AC 2-1 in a BHA group B match Friday. In another match, Behala SA held Barranagore SC goalless.
