Chennai: Asian Games gold medallist L. Prabhakaran died here on Friday following a massive heart attack, his family members said.

The 32-year-old Prabhakaran is survived by his wife, daughter and parents.

A speedy forward, Prabhakaran was part of the gold medal winning Indian hockey team in the Bangkok Asian Games in 1998 and represented the country in many international tournaments at junior and senior levels. (PTI)
