Following this win, FC Goa moved up to No.3 in the ISL standings with 12 points from six matches. Bagan have now slipped to sixth with 10 points from six games.

Around five minutes after half-time, FC Goa took the lead thanks to Aibanbha Dohling, who was fed with an excellent diagonal ball by Anwar Ali. Dohling out-ran a rival defender on receiving the ball before unleashing a shot from a tight angle that went in.

A tad better effort was expected from Bagan goalie Vishal Kaith. FC Goa then doubled their lead in the 76th minute when Mohamed Fares Arnaout scored off an Eduardo Bedia Pelaez assist.

Six minutes later, the icing on the cake came from Noah Wail Sadaoui, who scored off another Anwar Ali set-up.
