Ashburton Cup 2.0 organised by Arsenal Bengal (ABSC), an official fans club of Arsenal Football Club of England, lived up to its promise of providing the budding footballers with a platform to showcase their talents.
The tournament, which was organized for the second year in a row on April 10 at the Turf Air Plaza in New Town, saw the participation of 24 teams. The fan club fielded two teams of their own, besides a team from the Vivekanda Academy of Purulia, which is supported by ABSC and is made up of underprivileged footballers belonging to Santhal and Kudmi tribes of the region.
