Jasprit Bumrah will remember this day for time to come.

After getting nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award, Bumrah has become the fastest Indian to reach 100 Test wickets, going past the 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev. Bumrah achieved the feat in 24 matches in comparison to Dev's 25.

The other two Indian bowlers within sniffing distance of Dev and Bumrah are Irfan Pathan (28) and Mohammed Shami (29).

Bumrah had made his Test debut against South Africa in Cape Town in January 2018 and since then has been an integral part of the Virat Kohli-led Indian team.

He is now 22nd on the list of highest wicket takers for India in Tests, the list being led by spin legend Anil Kumble (619 wickets).
