New Delhi, Aug. 20 : Stephen Constantine Tuesday confirmed that Hemanta Dora will take over as Indian goalkeeping coach and will join the squad for the final Asian Games preparatory camp to be held in Jamshedpur from September 5. The Indian coach added that the former Mohun Bagan and East Bengal custodian will accompany the squad to the Pusan Games. The Indian squad assembled in the capital Tuesday and began working out for the ensuing tour of England. It's the same set of 21 players who lifted the LG Cup in Vietnam earlier this month. East Bengal midfielder S. Venkatesh did not attend practice because of a minor leg injury. The Indians, who leave for England on Sunday, will play two matches against Jamaica - at Watford on August 29 and at Wolverhampton on September 1. Constantine is trying to get his footballers to witness a Premier League match - Arsenal versus West Bromwich Albion - at Highbury on August 27. According to the coach, the main aim of the tour is to give 'more exposure to some of the boys who had less time on the pitch in Vietnam.' He will try out all 21 players in the two matches before making a final assessment for the Asian Games. The Asian Games team will leave India on September 15 and travel to Pusan via Bangkok. Constantine said that efforts are on to arrange two friendly matches in Bangkok, against local club sides. The coach added that seven non-resident Indians had contacted him via e-mail expressing a desire to play for India. The list includes Leeds United reserve Harpal Singh and Bournemouth defender Devinder Singh.
