Calcutta: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni regained the top spot in the International Council of Cricket’s (ICC) player rankings for One-day International batsmen. Michael Hussey, who had been atop briefly following Australia’s recent series against Pakistan, dropped below Dhoni.
In the team rankings, if South Africa can defeat India 2-1 or better in the upcoming three-match ODI series beginning Sunday, they can move up to the No. 2 spot. However, even if India win the series 3-0, they will be unable to displace Australia from the top spot.
