Padmanabhan stable, took an easy measure of his four rivals in the 1,600m Calcutta 2000 Guineas, the main attraction at the races, here, on Saturday. The Burden of Proof son, ridden by David Allan, allowed trainer Vijay Singh's colt, Setaflame, to dictate terms till about a furlong from home, before shooting into a length's lead which proved decisive at the all-important end. The city-hope, Multitude (P. Kamlesh-up), scraped home to occupy the second berth, when he nosed out his stable-mate, Setaflame.
