There's no stopping cricket buffs from indulging in wishful thinking. While Team India fans are pinning their hopes on Afghanistan beating New Zealand, Shoaib Akhtar is imagining an India vs Pakistan final in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Akhtar, who is used to keeping himself in the eye of controversy, spoke about how an India-Pakistan final can work wonders.

"Yes, I do have a wish, as I had said earlier, that why play just one match against India? Why not play the final? And a final (between India and Pakistan) is possible. It will be good for cricket if India play the final against Pakistan. This is going to make the World Cup bigger,” he said in a video on his Youtube channel.

So far, England and Australia have qualified for the semi-finals from Group 1, while Pakistan, riding on an unbeaten run, romped into the last four from Group 2.
