Dance drama Day of the deaf One-act play Dak adalats Alumni meet Book fair

Dance drama

Sonit Kuwanree, Jyotiprasad Agarwalla’s famous dance drama, will be staged with a unique fusion of Bharatanatyam and folk dance of Kerala with jazz and waltz in the backdrop. The dance drama, directed by Elora Bora Singh, will be staged by students of Nritya Kalakshetra at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati, on October 15 at 6.15 pm. A Sattriya dance recital will also be presented by Singh and Naren Boruah.

Day of the deaf

The Assam Association of the Deaf will celebrate the 46th international day of the deaf in Guwahati from September 27 to 28. Flag hoisting, fruit distribution, sports for the deaf children, exhibition and a seminar will be held on the occasion.

One-act play

The Service Recreation Centre of Assam Gas Company, Duliajan, will hold the D.N. Acharya memorial all Assam one-act play competition on September 29-30. For details, contact 0374-2801703.

Dak adalats

The 48th dak adalat of Assam postal circle will be held on September 29 at the chamber of the chief postmaster-general, Assam circle, Meghdoot Bhawan, Guwahati.

A dak adalat for redressal of public grievances on postal matters related to the Meghalaya division will be held at the office of the superintendent of postal services on September 26 at 11 am.

Alumni meet

The Karbi Students’ Association will organise its freshers’ social meet at Karbi Anglong House, Shillong, on September 27.

Book fair

The All-Assam Publishers and Booksellers’ Association will organise the fifth Northeast book fair at Judges Field, Guwahati, from November 26.
