Dramatists’ meet

Sahitya Akademi will organise a two-day eastern regional playwrights’ meet from July 22 at Vivekananda Kendra. Assamese, Bengali, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali and Oriya playwrights, including Munin Bhuyan, Debasis Majumdar, Ujjwal Chattopadhyay, Bratya Basu, E. Dinamani Singh, M. Priyabrata, Uday Chandra Jha ‘Binod’, will participate in the programme.

Music contest

A state-level music contest, organised by Sangyukta Lok Sanskritik Kristi Vikash Sangha, will be held at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati, from August 21 to 23.

Script-writing

The North Eastern Social Communications will conduct a script-writing course for TV and film from August 31 to September 9. Chemistry Olympiad

The Assam Library Association will organise a conference at District Library auditorium, Guwahati, on August 11 at 10.30 am.

Workshop

The Clinical Society of Dr B. Barooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, will organise a workshop titled Hands On Training Workshop on Surgical Head and Neck Oncology at the institute from July 28 to August 1.
