Handicraft fair:

A six-day handloom and handicraft fair, organised by Northeast Handloom and Handicraft Exporter?s Association, will be held at NEDFi Haat, Guwahati, from November 18 to 23. Twenty exporters of the region will participate in the fair, which will showcase a wide variety products. Handicrafts made from cane, bamboo and wood will feature at the fair.

College quiz:

A quiz and essay competition organised by the Assam Academy of Mathematics at Pragjyotish College, Guwahati, on November 28.

Championship:

The fifth national Muay Thai national championship, organised by the Muay Thai Association, will be held at the Sai complex, New Field complex, Guwahati, from December 25 to 27. For details, contact Dilip Roy at the association?s office at B.K. Kakoti Road, Ulubari.

Alumni meet:

The meet of Old Boy?s Association, Sainik School, Goalpara, scheduled to be held on November 12 at the school has been postponed till further notice. The general body meeting of the association will be held at Sudmerson Hall, Cotton College, on November 28 at 10 am.

Beauty pageant:

Allons 2004, a mega event comprising a beauty pageant and musical extravaganza, will be held at the Nehru Stadium, Guwahati on November 27.

One-act play:

The Prasanna Narayan Choudhury memorial all-Assam one-act play competition will be held at Nalbari on November 20-22.

Seminars:

A UGC-sponsored national seminar on Human Impact on Environment and Resulting Consequences in Northeast India and the 23rd biennial conference of the Northeast India Geographical Society will be held at Tezpur College on December 6-8.

The fourth conference of international congress of social philosophy, which was scheduled to be held from October 7-9 at Gauhati University has been postponed to December 9-11.

Conference:

Esicon 2004, the 34th national conference of the Endocrine Society of India will be held at the Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati, on November 26, 27 and 28. Reputed endocrinologists from all over the country as well as delegates from the US, England, Australia and Bangladesh, will take part in the conference.
