Games medals for Assam

Guwahati: Tania Choudhury, Nayanmoni Saikia and Parismita Gogoi won gold for Assam in the lawn bowls triples event of the 35th National Games at Kochi in Kerala on Thursday. Assam also bagged two bronze medals in lawn bowls. Assam rower Nafisa Sadiq won a bronze in the 500metres single scull event.

Dibrugarh: Jorhat CCC defeated Nazira Cricket Academy by 88 runs in the All-Assam under-16 Tapan Dutta cricket tournament at Muliabari playground in Digboi.

Guwahati: East Zone and South Zone tallied three points by virtue of their first-innings lead after both the two-day matches ended in a draw in the inter-zonal under-19 women's cricket tournament here on Thursday.
