Former champions Oil India Ltd, Duliajan, on Tuesday set up Thursday’s final clash with holders Assam Rifles, Tezpur, in the Amba Medhi Football Tournament under way here. They edged past Green Valley Sports Club, Guwahati 2-1.

Karate team

Guwahati: The United Karate-Do Association of Assam has named the state squad for the 22nd National Karate-do Championship to be held in Calcutta from September 25 to 28. Assam will participate in sub-junior, junior and cadet boys’ and girls’, men’s and women’s events.

Seminar

Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association will hold a two-day curators’ seminar here on September 13 and 14. BCCI pitch and ground committee chairman Daljit Singh will be the resource person. All the districts have been asked to send their respective curators for the seminar.

Camp

Guwahati: The Basketball Association of Assam will hold a coaching camp for junior cagers at Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium in Sarusajai Sports Complex here from Wednesday. Players born on or after January 1, 1992 will be eligible.

School meet

Guwahati: The 2nd all Assam inter-school kickboxing championship (under-19 boys’ and girls’) and the 1st state training camp to assess the potential of players at the school level will be organised by the Assam Kickboxing Association here from November 1 to 5.
