Guwahati, Nov. 13: The creation of the proposed Sports Authority of Assam (SAA) is almost on the verge of completion and a notification to this effect will be out as soon as the cabinet ratifies the file approved by chief minister Tarun Gogoi, according to sports minister Bharat Chandra Narah.

Narah, addressing his first press conference today after assuming office in September, said the process of creating the SAA was delayed because of various constraints and admitted lapses in maintenance of the new infrastructure created for the 33rd National Games in February 2007.
