Guwahati, Oct. 8: The condition of Assam Ranji cricketer Krishna Das, who was injured in a road accident in Barpeta on Friday night, was stated to be “out of danger” today. But he would need surgeries for a fractured elbow.

The Assam Cricket Association said Das, who was shifted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital yesterday, was being diagnosed for further treatment. The teenaged medium pacer fractured his left elbow and suffered injuries when the car he was travelling in, collided with a truck on National Highway 31 between Barpeta Road and Barpeta town.

The ACA has offered to bear his treatment expenses.
