Dhubri, March 14: Four shops were gutted in the fire that broke out in Khagarpur under Abhayapuri police station of Bongaigaon district last night. The fire, which broke out at a tea stall, engulfed three other shops in the row. Property worth Rs 7 lakh was reduced to ashes, a police source said. Dhubri: Ten-year-old Kuddus Ali died on the spot when a speeding truck knocked him down on NH 31 at Taltala under Golokganj police station of Dhubri district on Sunday. The driver of truck, Pranes-war Naik, was arrested and the truck seized by Agomoni police. Kokrajhar: The Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) on Monday declared the second list of candidates for five more constituencies for the ensuing Assembly election. Mohilary said the third list would be declared on March 16. Guwahati: A six-week Techno-Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Utilisation of New and Renewable Energy was inaugurated at Cotton College on Monday. Around 28 youths participated in the programme.
