Guwahati, April 27: The Joint Forum of BSNL Executives' Associations is staging fasts at all BSNL district headquarters of Assam for four days, beginning Tuesday, to press for its demands on standard pay scale, promotion, superannuation benefits and pending HR issues.

The circle secretary of the Sanchar Nigam Executives' Association of Assam, Arijit Roy Pradhani, said: "We have lined up a series of agitation, starting with the fast."

"The hunger strike will be staged at the seven BSNL district headquarters of the state. Tomorrow, all officials will go on mass casual leave. It will be followed by an indefinite relay hunger strike from May 1 if we do not get any response by April 30."

"We are demanding E2 scale for junior technical officers (JTOs) and E3 scale for sub-divisional engineers (SDEs) with increments, immediate promotions of JTOs to SDEs, 30 per cent superannuation benefits to BSNL-recruited employees and resolution of all pending HR issues," Pradhani said.
