Road mishaps
Jorhat, Oct. 18: Three advocates of the Tinsukia Bar Association were killed and another injured in a road accident at Maithang gaon in Tinsukia district today. In another incident, Roshana Lochan Das, 45, senior secretary at the office of the resident chief executive of OIL at Duliajan in Dibrugarh district, died in a road accident today.
Absconding
Agartala: A joint principal of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in a CRPF camp in Tripura, who was accused of allegedly molesting a contract teacher, is absconding after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected on Saturday. The teacher had filed an FIR with Jirania police station.
Medical camp
Kokrajhar: A medical camp was organised at Koraibari in Chirang district by the Red Horns division of the army and the district health and district malaria departments.

Guwahati: IIT Guwahati on Sunday donated Rs 3.7 lakh to chief minister Tarun Gogoi's relief fund.
White paper
Guwahati: Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Sunday said the state government will publish a white paper in November with details of plan and non-plan expenditure between 2001 to 2015, release of funds by the UPA and NDA government and curtailment of funds to Assam by the Centre.
Salary
Guwahati: Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Sunday termed the reports about irregular salaries to state government employees baseless and politically motivated.
