The 80-ft by 40-ft temperature-controlled swimming pool has a Moroccan vibe with alternate dark and light blue tiles, very similar to the hamams in the Middle East. It’s 1.4 meters deep and has a small children’s pool attached to it as well, along with Jacuzzi for relaxation. An array of sunbeds horizontally line the pool one one side. The bright yellow and white towels add a pop of colour.

“Our new offerings this winter by the renovated Poolside, include a brand new temperature-controlled pool, with a separate kids’ pool area and Jacuzzi. In addition, we have extended Chinoiserie into the poolside, offering more seating, a view, and a new ambience. The Junction alfresco now has new seating for guests to enjoy their favourite drinks and cocktails. We are happy to reopen The Grill by the Pool with a new look. I’m extremely happy to offer a new area called the Patio under the shade of trees overlooking the pool which offers unique dining options for intimate celebrations. The Souk also has a new private dining venue invoking the Middle East. Our effort is to continuously offer the city new spaces and designs to enhance food and beverage experiences at Taj Bengal,” said Arnab Chatterjee, general manager, Taj Bengal.

The Middle Eastern and Mediterranean specialty restaurant Souk is a favourite with many. Taking the celebration a notch higher is the revamped private dining area that not just has mirrors for two walls and ceilings, but now has a Middle Eastern bazaar-themed wallpaper with bright and pop tones that will transport you straight to a souk in Dubai. The lighting adds to the vibe as well, and this section can host 10 guests.
