Giving opportunity and platform to youths to learn, experiment, grow, create, and share ideas are the best thing a nation can do.
Not just the organizations and government, many well-known personalities are supporting today's youth. Pulkit Kumar is one such example. He is an Indian -American scientist.
As the initial step towards serving the population, he founded the Cancer society at the University of Alberta, where he is currently enrolled. The organization aims to discuss and spread awareness about cancer. It works to collect funds and donate them for cancer research. This initiative provided an opportunity for the youth of today to share their ideas and their prospective treatments regarding cancer. Also, giving opportunities to students to research their ideas inclined them towards research and problem-solving. This was a beneficial step for the students of the University of Alberta as well as those enrolled elsewhere in the world.
The organization encouraged his colleagues and friends to offer cancer support. Positive impacts of the initiative were seen when the society collected enough funds in their first year of working to donate to cancer research foundations as well as front-line workers.
Published a paper on Ocimum Sanctum, ayurvedic treatments used for cancer patients. The research paper proved to be much beneficial for cancer patients.
He did intensive research on alternative sources of energy and reducing global warming. Having sustainable and efficient energy sources was on his list of priorities. Pulkit's research on alternative energy sources can open up doors to a cleaner and better energy source.
Moreover, he encourages people to speak up about their mental health. Throwing light on the importance of mental health he Pulkit says-
"Even in today's world, the importance of a healthy mind is overlooked. You can see people talking openly about their physical health problems. This isn't the same when we speak about mental health. People are hesitant."
His efforts and initiatives in this direction helped a lot of patients with depression and anxiety. He always stressed upon filling up the void that exists between the doctor and patients. Pulkit stress on a healthy doctor-patient relationship.
Though he is a scientist by profession, his initiatives for humanity show his love for people and the environment. He is a philanthropist and environmentalist.
