Justice Gangopadhyay was hearing a case on the alleged illegal recruitment in a school. In that connection an SIT member was present in the court.

The CBI representative told the court that at least 8,160 candidates were illegally recruited on the basis of the 2014 and 2017 teachers’ eligibility tests (TET).

After hearing the SIT member, the judge issued the order.

On Monday, the judge expressed his displeasure over the progress of the probe conducted by the CBI in the school recruitments case.

The judge had also expressed the need for the inclusion of more members in the special investigation team.
