Adding to the growing list of pubs and party spots in Sector V is Pub 97 — a new destination owned by 23-year-old Rahul Bansal who always dreamt of being in the F&B industry. Spread across 7,772sq ft space, Pub 97 is a clutter-free, simple yet cool party place. “The reason why I wanted to come up with a pub was due to the demand. Here there are so many places and they are all crowded. The idea is to have a pub and a lounge feel as evening progresses,” said Rahul. But why name it Pub 97? “Actually 97 is my lucky number so we incorporated that,” said Rahul. Talking about music, there is a dedicated DJ section with a huge dance floor. The console manned by DJ Hardik Thakker (head programmer) will churn out primarily Bollywood with international hits as well. Guests can look out for acoustic nights that are in the pipeline. This place will spoil you with options in food. With around 185 dishes on the menu, every time you visit there will be something new to try from their Indian, continental, Chinese and tandoor sections. “We have given huge importance to the menu because people in Calcutta love to eat. Since our target is the corporates too, during the day we will have buffet menu from 1pm-3.30pm besides a la carte. Nights will be more about nibbles,” said Tejinder Singh, general manager and chef. t2 dropped by to check out the new cool outlet.
