This week, many trending videos popped up on our social media feeds. And while some of them stunned us, others left us feeling all fuzzy. Take a look at some of the viral videos from the past week that you may have missed — from Mikhail Gorbachev’s resurfaced Pizza Hut commercial to an airline attendant comforting a baby girl on a flight!

Pizza Hut hails Mikhail Gorbachev

Former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev passed away on August 30 at the age of 91. As condolences poured in from around the world, his old Pizza Hut commercial from 1998 resurfaced on the Internet. Russia did not air the original ad, but it was aired in other countries. The video shows two gentlemen arguing over Gorbachev’s legacy inside Russia's first foreign-owned company, Pizza Hut. It ends with an older woman jutting into the argument. “Because of him, we have many things, like Pizza Hut,” uniting all customers as they stand to toast Gorbachev with a slice.

Spain’s Tomatina Festival returns after two years

The famous Tomatina Festival returned to the town of Bunol in Spain after a gap of two years owing to Covid. The 75th edition of La Tomatina was famously featured in the Bollywood film, Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara. The viral video shared by CNN showed people on the streets, ‘fighting’ with tomatoes. This long-standing tradition draws inspiration from a food fight between local children in a tomato-producing region, dating back to 1945. In the 1980s, people from different parts of the world started taking part in the event due to media attention.

'Kala Chashma' trends again

In the now-viral wedding choreography video, the group can be seen shaking a leg to the 2016 number along with many other hit Bollywood numbers such as Chura ke dil mera and Tumse milke dil ka. The Kala Chashma trend was quickly picked up by other celebrities such late night show host Jimmy Fallon and the popular K-Pop group WINNER.

The cabin crew member’s kind gesture was acknowledged by the toddler's father, who uploaded the video of the man walking up and down the aisle with the child in his hands. The video was posted in the first week of August, but went viral last week, garnering over 260,000 likes on Instagram along with praises for the flight attendant.
